Nice transcriptions – I have always liked Sam Jones’ take on PC’s Visitation – not enough Sam Jones transcriptions around! I have just recently discovered Sam’s cello solos – they are amazing – if I ever find time I’d like to transcribe some of them. Three bags full is also a favorite of mine – I’m going to do it at my next gig, thanks for that. By the way, you don’t happen to know an old friend of mine, Richard Thomson – he works around San Diego – I used to play a lot with Richard in his home town, Aberdeen in the early 1980s?

Absolutely, I know Richard Thompson! I had him as a professor & private instructor at SDSU and now we play gigs together once in a while. I need to check in with him, now that you mention it!
